Prophetic Warning: You Don't Know What Time It Is

"You don't know what time it is."

That is what I heard from the Lord this morning.

I had seen yet another post urging Christians to vote correctly, vote biblically, save the nation.

"You don't know what time it is."

The way God showed it to me was like a parent who sees their child failing classes, skipping school, and hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Imagine if instead of correcting the rebellion within the child, the parent was primarily concerned with the child's grades.

Imagine if instead of correcting the dangerous, deadly path the child was on, the parent was only concerned about the child's outward performance.

Christian leaders, pastors, you are concerned with the wrong thing.

This election outcome is a symptom of the state of the soul of many Christians.

Being angry at the election results rather than being alarmed by the number of lukewarm Christians who are not led by the Spirit of God shows that we care more about our way of life on Earth than seeing our brothers and sisters enter the kingdom of heaven.

In His earthly ministry, Jesus spent 45% of His time talking about the kingdom of heaven.

He spent less than 8% of His time talking about anything remotely political. Why?

Didn't He see how Rome was oppressing His people? Didn't He see the religious persecution, the death, the murder, the starving children, the suffering?

Yes. He saw it. And He still made eternal salvation His chief concern.

He even allowed Himself to be seemingly defeated by what oppressed His people for the eternal benefit of humanity.

Many Jews to this day reject Yeshua because He did not accomplish politically what they believe the Messiah should have.

And how could the holy, all-powerful Messiah allow Himself to endure such a death?

What they do not understand is the same thing many western Christian leaders are struggling with.

In the Old Testament, Israel struggled with the same mindset when they demanded a king.

Good leaders help a nation prosper, but unless the hearts of the people are fully submitted to the Lord, their destruction is sealed.

Good leaders can usher in times of wealth, but even the best leaders are vulnerable to corruption.

Jesus did not come to establish or overturn a temporary political kingdom. He came to bring us as many as would be willing into His eternal heavenly one.

The one where no moth or rust destroys.

His focus was and is saving souls and transforming lives through His power and creating disciples who would do the same.

Out of a fear of losing the comforts and freedoms the west has enjoyed, many are forgetting this and are panicked over the wrong things.

They look at the UK, Nigeria, Canada, places in the world where evil is running rampant and Christians are suffering and believe this is a political alignment issue.

"You don't know what time it is."

God called Noah to build an ark because the waters were coming. And they are rising again.

He gave us the signs in the Bible to know when the time was drawing near.

2 Timothy 3 talks about how in the last days people will become, "lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, unholy."

The Bible describes a society devoid of love, unforgiving, slanderous, lacking self-control. It talks about people having a "form of godliness but denying the power of God."

It talks about how corrupt individuals will lead vulnerable people astray. It talks about how these people are "always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth."

James 5 talks about how wealthy oppressors who "have heaped up treasure in the last days" will be judged.

Anyone with eyes to see knows what times it is.

We are in a time when people who believe they are Christians are seeking out churches with messages that tickle their ears rather than draw them closer to God.

We are in the days when self-professing Christians are aligning with the world in heart and values.

We are in a time when Christians are soaking up the opinions of godless podcasters whose blasphemous tirades oppose the Bible. "Truth seeking" it is called.

We are in a time when in some churches, the fruits of the world: monetary success, status, fame, are more highly regarded than the fruit of the Spirit.

We saw how in the past few years Israel has become a stumbling block to many Christians. Out of His love, God used this time to show so many that they have no idea what the Bible says nor any insight into His heart and plan for the nation.

He used the past three years to reveal to the body that many in our midst are not led by His Spirit or His Word. He gave people time to correct themselves and repent.

He has used these years to show us the callouses in the west toward the persecuted church. The west wants bigger buildings, flashier programs, bigger followings, all under the guise of advancing the kingdom while the people in the pews grow colder and colder.

The problem is not election results.

The election results are a symptom of lukewarm, hell-bound souls.

The election results were a warning. They are an alarm pointing to many who believe they are saved, but who desperately need saving.

This was a wake-up call.

When the Lord sent Jonah to Nineveh, it was not to preach a political message, but one of repentance. That same message is needed now.

The problem is not lazy Christians who stayed home rather than voting. The problem is not angry or misled Christians who voted incorrectly.

The problem is what it's always been: hearts in rebellion. Souls that are lost.

The election outcome was predictable.

The enemy has been sowing tares in the hearts of the lukewarm. We saw conspiracies running wild, Israel being branded as the ultimate enemy, and the widow of a Christian martyr being crucified among professed believers.

This week we saw the result of the slow falling away.

Don't be angry at the lost sheep doing what lost sheep do.

Be angry at the shepherds who have traded a message of repentance for worldly ambition and fostered a culture of Biblical illiteracy as to not offend.

Be angry at the mixture we have tolerated for the sake of being relatable.

Be full of love and urgency for souls on the path to forever destruction and unbelievable torment.

A loving Father would allow a nation to feel its spiritual state in order to give it an opportunity to return to Him while there is time.

The waters around us are rising.

Those calling for votes are going about this backward. A child in rebellion who manages to get good grades and dress the part is still in rebellion.

Conservatism un-submitted to Christ still leads to ruin.

God gave His people a foreshadowing of a nation that turns from Him this week.

There is a crumbling happening of foundations built on political affinity rather than Christ.

But there is always a hope for the people of God.

That hope is in Christ.

His desire is for us to be motivated by a love and urgency for the lost to be made right with the Father rather than a fear for what they could take from us.

Our hope is in Jesus alone.

Understand what time it is.

Jesus is coming back.

May we repent for the kingdom of God is near.

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

2 Chronicles 7:14
