Did You Fall For the Palm Sunday Slander Campaign?

Many fell for the Palm Sunday slander campaign against Israel. Even some Christians.

Look at the headlines:

One would think by reading these media headlines that "evil Israel and the evil Jews" were doing everything in their power to stop Christians from worshipping on one of the holiest days of the year.

Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem the week before His death and resurrection. It marks the official start of Holy Week.

Jesus arrived riding a donky and being hailed as King. Worshippers waved palm branches and shouted adoration.

This scene fulfilled the messianic prophecy by the prophet Zechariah.

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey." -Zechariah 9:9

Of course Christians would be outraged with Israel if they thought the nation was disrespecting the Messiah and blocking worship services.

And of course, many jumped on the bandwagon of slandering Israel before knowing the truth.

The Truth: All major holy sites in the Old City, including the Western Wall and Al-Aqsa Mosque, had been subject to strict closures or limits since late February.

Jerusalem has been under active missile fire. Sites like the Holy Sepulchre have no bomb shelters, and the narrow streets of the Old City make it impossible for ambulances to reach people if a strike happens.

The police were trying to manage a literal "war zone" security risk.

Prime Minister Netanyahu stepped in to overrule the police due to how the media was handling the situation: making it once again seem as if Israel was coming against Christians.

This information is common knowledge and very easy to confirm, but it's always easier to run with a piece of juicy slander and gossip than it is to seek out the truth for oneself.

This coordinated slander attack against Israel serves two purposes.

The first one is to weaken the bond between Chrsitians and Israel. The enemy knows the prophetic role of Israel. He knows that the entire Bible is rooted in the specific place and people. He knows the importance of Israel.

He also knows that if he can trick people into coming against Israel, he can walk them into a curse and have a foothold in their lives.

Many Christians who don't know the Bible well are being led astray.

Second, these crafted narratives serve as as distraction. There are Christians under attack around the world, but not by Israel or Jewish communities.

Yesterday, on Palm Sunday, at least 40 more Christians in Nigeria were murdered by Fulani Islamist militants.

Most of the photos are horrific, they cannot be shown without disclaimers.

You will not see this widely reported. Israel's "attack on Christianity" dominates the headlines. This is deliberate.

Fulani Islamist militants have a long history of attacking Nigerian Christians on Christian holy days, but you will not see this widely reported.

Notable Historical Incidents:

  • The 2023 Christmas Massacres (Plateau State): This remains one of the bloodiest holiday attacks in recent history. Beginning on the night of December 23 and lasting through December 26, well-coordinated Fulani militias attacked over 20 predominantly Christian villages in the Bokkos and Barkin Ladi areas. More than 160 people were slaughtered, and thousands were displaced. Churches, homes, and harvested crops were burned to the ground.

  • The 2024 Christmas Attacks (Benue State): Militants launched attacks across several villages on Christmas Day, killing dozens of believers.

  • Past Holiday Violence: Similar patterns have been recorded during Easter and Christmas over the past decade. For instance, in April 2019, gunmen killed 17 Christians following a baby dedication at a church.

A true threat is emerging and taking ground. It started with populations people can turn a blind eye to, but is making its way through the west killing both Christians and Jews. One cannot even speak about what is happening without being labled as "phobic."

People are being fooled. People are being distracted. A lack of Biblical knowledge and true intimacy with God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit are leading both the unsaved and many professing Christians away to fall for the schemes of the enemy.

You do not want to experience the tribulation that will take place on this earth when the evil that is encroaching on this world finally has power.

Put faith in Yeshua, Jesus. He is the Messiah. Read Isaiah 53 for yourself. He is the prophesied One. He is coming back.

"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

"They took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: 'Hosanna!‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!'"

Yochanan (John) 12:13

With Him, there is nothing to fear.

"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Mattityahu (Matthew) 16:18
